The college was founded by Progressive Education Society in 2017. The college is self financed and recognized by State Government of Maharashtra. The college was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Maharashtra State Hon. Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis on 25^th August 2017.

The College provides various academic courses under Arts, Commerce and Science stream. The Chairman of Progressive Education Society Dr. Prof. Gajanan R. Ekbote with his vision to develop an excellent ambiance for academics with a vibrant environment to meet the challenges of the competitive world, took initiative to impact quality education with easy access to young generation and started this junior college.
The college not only ensures the academic development of students but also provides them with opportunities to prove themselves by means of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities. The college consistently pays attention towards physical and mental health of the students by making available sports facilities. The college has well-equipped laboratories and all required e-Learning facilities.
